Welcome to the 2011 FCA Montauk Redbone Tournament

The Redbone Tournaments were founded by Susan and Capt. Gary Ellis in 1988, to help raise funds and build awareness for Cystic Fibrosis after their daughter Nicole was diagnosed with the illness at the age of 6. Cystic Fibrosis is a dibilitating and fatal disease that effects childrens lung capacity. It is a terrible and heartbreaking illness in children, often leaving them in hospital for months out of each year. With the help of organizations like the Redbone, much progress has been made and they are thrilled and proud to say the life expectancy of its victims has increased to 32 years, and improvement 18 years since the their first Tourney in Islamorada in 1988. Please come and "Catch the Cure" with us in Montauk on Sept 21-23rd. Not only is the fishing fantastic, the scenery second to none, and the commerderie at Montauk Yacht Club infectious, but the cause is truly making a difference in the lives of thousands of wonderful children.
Please contact me if you have any plans to come and participate (as the Guides are on a first come first served basis), would like to donate, or have a company that would like to sponsor part of the tourney.

And let's not forget, in 2010, the average number of fish caught per boat for the two days was 81!!!
